Development of an Integrated BIM-3D GIS Approach for 3D Cadastre in Morocco

With rapid population growth, there is an increasing demand for vertical use of space. The wide spread complex and high-rise buildings, as well the number infrastructure above or underground, requires new methods efficient management land property. 3D cadastre has, thus, become a necessity administration. However, success cadastral systems relies on definition legal institutional frameworks implementing performant technical solutions. potential BIM GIS in this field has been demonstrated by several authors. development strongly related to national context each country terms laws, institutions, etc. In paper, integrated approach based implementation Morocco presented. This demonstrates relevance such integration information. First, Conceptual Data Model (CDM) extension CityGML, was proposed information Morocco. Then, modeling process developed according model’s specifications then translated CityGML format. After that, Geodatabase implemented ArcGIS CDM. Our method applied case co-ownership building, showing difficulties limits 2D representation. results show advantages representation objects. addition, some improvements are extend concept co-owner share volumetric calculation.
